It is amazing that over 80% of couples trying to conceive a baby state that if they could, they would pick the gender of their baby. While every baby is a blessing and a gift, many of us can’t deny that when we think about getting pregnant or think back to when we were pregnant that we wished for a baby girl or a baby boy. For some reason, we just felt it important… or more ideal to have one over the other.

There are also people that believe baby gender selection can be left to the foods that you consumer. Creating a more alkaline or more acidic environment makes it more favorable for one sex over the other. Some favorite foods if you want to have a girl include sweets and fresh veggies, whereas if you are looking to have a boy then you want to go for salty snacks and red meat.

Some people have said that the date of the month, odd or even, will impact the sex of the baby. There are other people that believe the phases of the moon can impact whether you have a boy or a girl. Different sexual positions can impact whether you are having a girl or a boy as well as who has the orgasm first, or if the woman should have one at all.

Many medical professionals even recommend that when a couple is trying to conceive that the man changes the undergarments he wears. Instead of wearing briefs he needs to wear boxers to help keep the treasure cool.

So when couples go to the doctor to discuss ways to increase their chances of conceiving the doctors are going to look at the age of the women. Ladies the eggs you have when you are 35 are the same eggs you had when you were just a fetus in your mom’s womb.

There is nothing wrong with trying different things to influence the sex of your baby. Secretly we all wish we have control over the baby gender selection process.

There are many different ways that can increase your odds of having a little girl.  The first thing that you need to really understand is that there is a significant difference in terms of the sperm that creates a girl versus a boy.

Typically the male sperm is significantly faster than the female sperm, but it’s lifespan is also significantly shorter.  Knowing that the female sperm is slower, but more resilient can help to enlighten you as to how you should approach the process of conception.

Knowing that female sperm has a longer lifespan means that you will want to have intercourse a couple of days prior to your optimum ovulation period.

Having intercourse a couple of days ahead of that time will ensure that the male sperm will expire prior to the egg being released leaving only the female sperm to inseminate.  On average, the best time to have intercourse is actually three days ahead of the ovulation period.  If you do this, you are greatly increasing the likelihood of having a daughter.

Additionally, you will want to take into account the positions that you are using when having intercourse.  By keeping the penetration very shallow, the sperm will have further to travel.  This means that the sperm with the shorter life expectancy will not be able to make it to the egg, leaving the female sperm to make the journey.

Additionally, this area of the female body is a much more acidic environment.  Female sperm can thrive in highly acidic environment whereas the male sperm tends to thrive more in alkaline environments.  The traditional missionary position might be the optimum choice because it will allow you to monitor the penetration level.

However, it is important to remember that there are no guarantees in life.  You may end up having a little boy even though you tried everything that you could to help your chances to have a daughter.  If that happens, you should accept that that is what the world has in store for you, but the truth is that you will not really have to try.  Honestly, you will hold that baby in your arms and instantly fall in love!
