What? You Can’t Get Pregnant?

It is truly sad that some people who have no problems getting pregnant are often one who shouldn’t be having kids, and those that would make really good parent, have trouble getting pregnant, or worse yet, can’t get pregnant at all. It really isn’t fair since there are so many examples where kids are abused and neglected, and end up in the welfare system.

If you are asking yourself, why can’t I get pregnant, there may be a number of reasons. A sickness or accident at a early age, hereditary problems, age and health concerns are just some of the many factors. It could even be that your partner’s sperm count is low, and there fore you have trouble getting pregnant. For whatever the reason, the first thing you need to do is find out if you can.

A good way to find out why you are having trouble getting pregnant, is to go to a fertility clinic with you and your spouse or significant other. There is a variety of different tests that can be performed on both of you to find out what the problems may be. It may sound expensive at first, but it can be less costly than wasting your money on pregnancy tests and fertility pills and procedures.

You may find out that your spouse has a low sperm count, and that can be helped with supplements that will help build up his counts. If you find that the trouble getting pregnant is because your body isn’t releasing enough eggs, or they are weakened somehow from a sickness or something, then that can also be corrected in most cases through fertility drugs. If you choose to go this route be warned though, sometimes fertility drugs can backfire, and you end up getting pregnant with multiple babies at one time.

If you find out that you can’t get pregnant, while it is a very sad thing, know that you aren’t alone, and there are many ways to have children without getting actually pregnant. One way is through an adoption agency, and there are many reputable agencies available to help. You could try a surrogate mother, one who would be willing to be impregnated at a clinic with your husband or boy friends sperm. It is a delicate process with many variables to consider.

Other couples who find they can’t get pregnant may also consider being a foster parent. This program is designed to place children in temporary homes until they are able to go home, or end up either being adopted or waiting it out until their eighteen. Being a foster parent allows you to provide this temporary home for kids in a safe and warm environment, something the may have never experienced before.

Some of the advantages of being a foster parent, is that you are showing the child you care for a better way of life, even if it is just temporary. You can choose what age groups you are willing to take care of, from infants to adolescents. You can also choose short or long term foster parenting, and you get paid for taking care of the child. Most foster parents don’t really care about the money, but every little bit helps.

There is plenty of information and resources on all the things that have been mentioned, and one of the best ways is through the internet. You can find adoption agencies, surrogate mothers and foster parent programs.
